How often do you wash your sheets?

How often do you wash your sheets? Weekly, bi-weekly, once a month? Most experts recommend that we should wash our sheets once a week. Our sheets collect a lot of stuff on them that we cannot see. There are thousands of dead skin cells, dust mites, and maybe even fecal matter (for those who sleep in their birthday suits). Are you running to your bedroom and stripping your bed sheets off your bed right now? As a rule of thumb, if the laundry basket is full, it is time to clean your sheets also.

You should wash your sheets more often if you go to bed without showering, have allergies or asthma and are sensitive to dust, have an infection or lesion that makes contact with your sheets or pillows, if you eat in bed, if you sleep naked, or if your pet sleeps in your bed. Not washing your sheets regularly will leave you vulnerable to viruses and bacteria.

You can keep your sheets clean between washings by removing debris and dirt from your feet or socks before climbing into bed, avoiding naps after a sweaty gym session, not eating or drinking in bed, removing makeup before you go to sleep, showering before bed, keeping your pets off your sheets, and avoid putting on lotions, creams, or oils right before bed. We are here to help keep you clean and safe. Let us help keep your bed sheets clean and fresh. Drop them off with us at our wash and fold or schedule a recurring laundry pickup and delivery order.
